Fonda's Testimony
I moved from Tennessee
to Kentucky at the age of 29. I met a wonderful man, Gary Harris, and we
were married on November 17, 1989. I was employed as a registered nurse at a
local hospital. I worked 12 to 16 hour shifts and had everything I wanted. I
didn't have a care in the world. I was living the life of a sinner . Then
suddenly my life fell apart on February 21, 1990. My heart stopped several
times in a minute, which resulted in a pacemaker implant. I was very
fortunate, because four days before, I had given my life to the Lord, at a
small Pentecostal church near my home. I was coping very well. My doctor
told me I should be able to lead a normal life and do about anything I would
want to do. But, little did I know that test of my new found faith and trust
in God was just beginning.
Two weeks after I had
my pacemaker implant, it malfunctioned and had to be replaced. In June of
1990, I was diagnosed with Lupus Anticoagulant Factor, which means my blood
was forming clots and there was no cure. Due to the blood clots, I had
multiple chest tube implants. I remember being in the hospital. I was so
seared, weak, and tired. I told Gary that I was afraid I was going to die,
and without thinking, I said, "Please pray for me." I'll never forget what
he said, I can't" From that day on, I prayed, Lord, I need him to help me
pray. Please come into his heart. Gary was saved at home in October, 1990.
Shortly thereafter, I
began having seizures. It was usual for two or three seizures to occur every
night. It was very painful. During this time, I lost my job, my medical
insurance was terminated, and we were instantly in debt approximately
$73,000.00 for medical bills. I couldn't do any activities of daily living.
There were times when Gary would even have to bathe me. Since the seizures
were caused by a calcium disorder, I ha a Para-Thyroid gland removed to see
if it would stop them. The gland was inside the Thyroid, and after it was
removed, I became hoarse when I spoke or sang.
Hospitalized almost
every six weeks for a year for numerous blood clots and a seizure disorder,
the doctors decided to put a port in my chest in order for me to give my own
IV fluids and medicines at home.
In December of 1992, I
formed a clot in my right arm. My arm was very swollen and blue in color.
This clot was very dangerous because the pacemaker was on that side. I could
die if the clot broke loose and went to the heart. My doctors thought it was
to dangerous to do surgery. I told them I wanted to go to Cleveland Clinic
In Cleveland, Ohio. However they could not get me in. I told Gary to take me
home, and against their advice I went anyway. We were going to call the
elders of the church and take authority over this condition. I didn't make
it very far. I ended up in the E.R. at the local hospital. The next few
events shows how the devil tried to destroy me, but the Lord was there to
deliver.
Gary ask the E.R.
physician to send me to the Cleveland Clinic. I was accepted and a plane was
sent for me. In the meantime, Gary called for the elders of the church to
pray for me. After the plane arrived, and I was loaded for the flight, the
engine malfunctioned. I had to wait for the plane to be repaired. After a
short delay we took off. In flight above the airport in Ohio, we had to
circle an extra 30 minutes due to an ice which prevented us
from landing.
When we finally did land, I noticed that I didn't feel the same. They tool
me in for test; however they couldn't find the blood clot. The had the film
showing where the clot had been. When Gary arrived, 8 hours later by car, I
told him that the Lord had healed me and I was ready to go home.
In August of 1993, I
was diagnosed with Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. This meant that my chest was to
small to handle the pacemaker, so, I had to have a rib removed to make room
for it. Things changed again. One by one, a trial and a victory.
In April of 1996,
things changed for me. I knew that the Lord had not put these diseases upon
me, but He would receive the glory for my total healing.
Gary and I met a nice
couple in Manchester, Don R. "Rusty" and Debbie Roberts, who were the Benny
Hinn Ministries. They encouraged me to go to Atlanta to a crusade. I went
but nothing happened even though Pastor Hinn prayed for me back stage. The
next crusade I went to was in Louisville, KY. and again I left without my
healing. The third time I went to Memphis Tennessee.
I went to the Thursday
night service, but was so weak, I couldn't attend the Friday morning
service. I stayed in the motel room in bed. Gary was so worried he spoke to
Rusty, who was accompanied by Joan Geison prayed for people down on the
floor area. Gary took me down that afternoon. I didn't think I would make
it. I was turning blue and my pace maker had run all day, I could hardly
breathe. She, Mrs. Geison, laid hands on me and prayed for my healing. The
power of God was unbelievable in the arena. Immediately I felt my
pacemaker kick off, and the color returned to my body and I could breath
freely. I knew I was healed.
The port in my chest
clotted of and was removed. In August of 1996, a minister on a small radio
station prayed for me, and I was healed of Lupus Factor. I went to May
Clinic on March of 1997. The test were all negative. Healed of Lupus, Heart
Disease, Seizures, Metabolic Disorder, Blood Clots, and Thoracic Outlet
Syndrome. One illness after another, one healing at a time. My God was
always there. Through five pacemaker implants and sixteen surgeries, He
never left me, and I know He never will. After seven year, I am totally and
completely healed. In199 the Lord called Gary and me into the healing
ministry. Gary is in an Evangelist, and the lord gave me songs to sing. Who
better than I would know how it feels to be on the other side of the prayer
line. I have recorded two projects. These songs where written to encourage,
and uplift the name of Jesus. I pray that they will minister to all who
hears them... for the greatest healing of all is salvation.

Gary's Testimony
I want to share the
most important part of my life with you. This is the part where I came to
know Jesus Christ as my savior.
I was a trooper with
the Kentucky State Police in October 1990 when I met Jesus Christ, and he
became my savior. My wife, Fonda, had been sick for seven months and had two
pace maker implants during this time. Little did we know that this was just
the start of her illness, which would consume the next seven years of our
lives.
God had touched my
heart during these months without me realizing what was taking place. I
remember Fonda asking me to pray for her, but I could only reply, "I don't
have anything to pray with". I knew about Jesus, but didn't know
Jesus. I thank God for showering me with His overwhelming mercy.
Jesus came to visit me
one night while I lay awake in my bed. I don't remember anything special
about the day or night before the visit, but my life was changed after His
visit. I didn't see Jesus, but I felt His presence in the room. He spoke to
me in a way and with an absolute recognition that I could not deny or would
ever be able to deny. He gave me my last call to come and serve Him. I
cannot forget the words he spoke to me that night.
This is that
conservation. Jesus ask me, "How old are you? I replied, "36" even though I
knew He already had the answer. Jesus said, "You have lived nearly half your
life, if you want to live
the
other half you must serve me." These words were spoken and I was given
absolute knowledge that if I did not heed them, they would be a testimony
against me in eternity; because I had been given a my last chance by Christ
to serve Him. Three years latter as I faced certain death God spared me and
let me know this would have been the appointed day of my death had I not
chosen Him and life.
I was ordained on July
of 1999 as a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and retired from the
Kentucky State Police in November on 1999. My
wife, Fonda, and I travel all over the country; Fonda, sings and shares her
testimony; I bring God's word that He lays upon my heart. Both of us
minister the healing grace of God's heart to individuals and the church.
I am so thankful that
God is a God of U-turns. After turning my life completely over to Him
I have seen the miraculous Hand of God work in the lives of friends and
strangers. I urge you to come and know Him .
